SEAOC’s EPIC Summer

Members of SEAOC put on a club event for the Engineering Possibilities In College (EPIC) camp held at Cal Poly. Members of the board talked to the high school students about what the architectural engineering program is, how it differs from civil engineering, and what a structural engineer does. The students got to add lateral bracing to a model and then test it on the shake table to see how their bracing would hold.
